Young Entrepreneurs Award

Genefinity, one of the first spin-off’s of The University of Trieste. It’s idea resulted as one of the finalists amongst the thirty entrepreneurial ideas of the “European prize” organized by “Innovact” (The European forum for innovative growth companies),Janez Potocnik, European Commissioner for research, being the head.At the event, organized in the city of Reims(France) the 18th and 19th of October, there were more than 300 groups, each having a project, from 20 different European Nations.

The various finalist projects contained  entrepreneurial ideas in various fields, from bio-medical products to particular electrical components for aero-generators, particular software for 3D modelling to a prosthesis for hand fractures.During the two day event, one could follow marketing and business courses held by renowned experts of this sector in Europe. The event concluded with a prize-giving for the projects by the Minister of Finances and by the Commissioner for European Research.
