Hydrofilm borns as a new nanostructured coating, developed by Genefinity with the specific aim of increasing the polymers' wettability by overcoming the limits in conventional surface treatments. The deposition has been optimized, resulting in an excellent adhesion even keeping a high transparency in the visible range. The main features of this coating are appealing:

• The contact angle for purified water is less than 10° and it remains constant in time
• Wettability is not affected by light exposure: a new amazing feature with respect to traditional TiO2 coatings
• Low solubility in water, resulting in a high resistance to immersion or even to wet atmosphere exposure
